Correx suppliers required for buying small amount
Posted by Ewan Chrystal on 16 March 2013 at 13:11Does anyone know of a correx supplier that doesn’t require me to buy a pack of 10? I only need about 3 sheets of 6mm

doubt you will find one unless your picking it up from their depot. i could be wrong though…
the big issue these days is delivery of sheet material, very costly if not handled by your own drivers. we had some aluminium 8×4 flat signs to send out around the country. the delivery was costing double the price of the signs in some location whilst come companies just refused to take the job.
anyway, might be the box of 10 is because its a sheet material but also a very cheap one, so ten in a box justifies the costs.
its probably a good idea to just stock some, correx is easy to sell for temp signage.

If it is any fluted board that your after Robert horne do one called euroflute in packs of five, not sure if they do a 6mm but they do 4mm. I actually think it is slightly more rigid than correx.

Hi MDP Supplies do sell some in 5’s but they are larger sheets..

I was going to mention Robert Horne but wasn’t sure if they still did the packs of 5 as it must be 6 or 7 years since I have ordered any euroflute board.
MDP supplies won’t deliver 8×4 sheets of any substrate, it’s collection only from them on board. -

yes tony, mdp do very little 6mm tink what you saw was 4ftx3ft thats the biggest size there carrier will take 🙂

Maybe it just applies to the composite board then, I have bought composite from them in the past & had to go & collect it, to be honest I have never bought fluted board from them but thought the collection applied to all boards.

Sorry guys I never knew that? just out of curiosity, where does it say that?
-
It says so on the composite board page, like I say it might not apply to fluted board but had thought it did due to the size of the boards & the couriers they use.

martin you are correct they wont send any composite at all.or dont supply 8×4 fluted, but they will send fluted cut down. to a max size i tink of 4×3

I have ordered some sheets from them about a year ago and I think they were 4’x4′ so I think they do deliver larger sheets on the corex, just not the composite as they were getting too many that were being damaged by the couriers. Like I said I may be wrong but it may be worth calling them to find out.

tony, your right a year ago they did send full and half sheets and stopped because of damage, but ewan is looking fof full sheets so i dont tink MDP is any good to him now 🙂

Thanks for all the very helpful replies. I ended up finding a place that did single 6mm sheets. Probably paid over the odds but it will get the job done. Buying 10 for stock really wasnt an option as we dont have the space and to be honest i do try and steer customers towards foam board if they want a cheap option but this particular customer was determined that was what she wanted. Even the packs of 5 werent really working out economical due the sizes i needed.
Thanks everyone though for putting your collective heads together to help out a newbieEwan
