Has anyone else had this problem, Upgraded from X3 to X5 today and did about 6 designs , then when i pressed save on one file it crashed and switched off loosing the design, the backup was 20 mins old so was nearly at the start. I didn’t have this problem with X3 and wondering if there is anything I can do to help or prevent it, Nothing I hate more when you go to open a file and its corrupt, don’t want to be opening my x3 files and then loosing them. I have got the service pack 2 installed , strange but cause every time i open X5 it tells me there is a service pack upgrade to install?

I’m using X5 constantly and I am not experiencing any crash problems on save. Export your design from X3 as cmx, import into X5 and save to see if that makes a difference. If ok possibly a style issue if no difference a corrupt object, just need to track that down – use the object manager docker to view may help do that.

Try the old favourite of an F8 restart of Draw. If this fails can you send me the file (if its not too big) and I’ll try it.
