    Corel x4 error opening file

    I have stated to get an error stating "XXXXX.cdr is not importable using the selected filter, or this format is not supported" when trying to open a file. However, the file opens if I drag and drop the file into [u]corel. Also, the thumbnail image does not show up just the Corel thumbnail

    I am running Corel x4 and windows 7 32bit

    This problem does not occur with all files

    Any idea, please

    Try starting X4 with F8 pressed and accepting factory defaults.

    At first, I did not think it had worked as the files still would not open but it I drag them into [u]coreland the save them it work perfectly.
