Cool, Exciting Wall Murals to add to your product portfolio
We often read members posts looking for new innovative ways to drum up business, yet most already possess the equipment necessary to open up into new areas of sign and print. Even if you don’t have the equipment, then simply call a trade supplier to do it for you, making yourself a nice mark up until you have the customer base to justify a print machine?
All too often we fail to up-sell to a customer when it should be relatively easy, next time just ask… "and what about this, have you thought about utilizing this bare wall creating an impact as your customers come in your door?"Home, Office, Working environment… anywhere that can be given a facelift!
We hope the following Picture Blog will inspire some of our members that have the ability to print their own wall covers.

What is the best re-positional material for this… There are so many available now.

I’ve done a 7 m wall with Phototex. That was supplied by Redcliffe but they seem to have changed to a product called Fabritac.
The Phototex was easy to work with, but I am after more up to date advice myself as I have just been asked to install a 24 metre long wall like this.
The Paste the wall or pre-pasted dip in water options are much cheaper but surlely not as easy and clean as the repositional. -
We have a very nice product of our own which we supply to the trade. It’s very similar to phototex but we’ve been told by some of our biggest clients of printed wallpaper that it’s very easy to install and they prefer it to the rather pricey phototex. The beauty about the printed stuff we sell is that it’s repositionable up 8 times you can peel it back and line it up again if your alignment isn’t quite right. It’s also easy to remove up to 5 years after install leaving no glue or adhesive on the wall.
We have a number of clients who have this printed with a 15mm over lap for easy installation. I believe once it is all installed they run a steel rule down the overlapped area and trim with a sharp scapel giving them a nice clean butted fit.
Our stuff goes out as 550mm wide panels and is all numbered and labelled for easy install. We only sell this as a finished printed item otherwise I would have said you can buy some rolls from us.

I did the walls in my kids bedroom with the ImagePerfect self adhesive one. Pretty easy to install and stays put. I’d be a bit wary of some of the ‘removable’ ones as they don’t always hold too well. I tried the Hexis one first and that was peeling back at the corners.

James, is that stuff your talking about self-adhesive? Or do you need to wet/paste it up to the wall?
