  • Converting to vector/eps/whatever i need?

Posted by Simon Mercer on 5 September 2007 at 11:59

Im really sorry if this has been answered a million times before, but is there an easy(ish) way to convert a bitmap/jpeg into a cuttable format for my plotter, I use artcut for the plotter as its software based, but i do have corel 11 and adobeCS2, Also what files am i looking for? I know eps but are there any others, and i am assuming i need a wireframe image?

Sorry if this is confusing and there are alot of questions all in one.

If you can upgrade to X3 the vector trace is very good / revised.

I find tweeking the bitmap to clean it up as much as possible before tracing gives much better results and less effort mucking about with nodes etc on the resulting image.

If you are not a full paid up member on here you will not be able to view the "demos".. another option for you would be to search something like utube for some demo videos of Vector Tracing….. but of course the quality is not upto the demo ones on here.

pays your money takes your choice

    hope that helps
    cheers
    Frank.
