Was it AllPrint Supplies 5R series?

Obviously it’s still a reflective and there are limits, but we find it a lot softer, conformable, and more forgiving than normal reflectives.

It’s our weapon of choice.

I found Nikalite from europoint to be the best for this sort of thing.
i did hundreds of these vehicles without a single problem. about two weeks ago i was in the van with andrew and one of these were sat in front of me at lights but i was too slow getting my camera out. it was done a couple of years back and not a single problem with it to this day…

now all this said, nikalite has now been improved and no longer will conform as it has a nice polyester gloss face on it now. :lol1:

i havent used it in a good few years but i would recon mactacs reflective would work but in a warm room ide think…

john childs maybe able to remember this one but the 3M (i think 3M) reflective that was used on the old telewest vans conformed rather well in the old style transit recesses.

The Avery XR1000 reflective was pretty good for corrugation work all the Dyno-Rod vehicles used to have the large roundels cut out of it, you could get the face beads to break if you were overly aggressive but it’s as good a reflective as I’ve used for uneven surfaces.

You used loads of the new Oralite 5600 solvent ink jet grade , that should have been pretty conformable , just white though for printing.

Rob,
As you said Mactac conforms well in grooves and over rivets and only slight heat is needed. Did 5 vans with chevrons using this about 19 months ago and had no problems since. I wouldn’t advise fitting dry on a warm day though. Sticks like superglue and is a b!tch to remove if fitted incorrectly. Only comes off in little bits! 😉

you know you could be right with the new oracal reflective cameron, i never gave it a thought because its a white digital reflective but it is soft and doesnt snap easy like most "without" the new polyester film nikalite introduced to prevent this and give a hi-gloss finish.
