    Hi all.
Really sorry about this but ill have to put tonightโ€™s workload off on the site regarding the competition rules and stuff like that. ๐Ÿ™
Late on tonight I had a call from hospital telling me my wee girl was taken in with suspected Pneumonia! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
I thought she and her mum were late home due to being late night shopping Glasgow.
So down with the phone and ive been in hospital since.
Gladly she seems to be fine now. They got her temperature down and did a series of test. Iโ€™ve been told to keep an eye on her during the night and over the next few days.
she was taken in early on this week with simular symptom but was allowed home as she seemed fine.. but it flared up again today.
They are hoping its not, but suspect a lying Pneumonia that was brought on by a recent cold. Fingers crossed its not.

shes now tucked up in bed,, thank god ๐Ÿ˜•

Well im now sitting here having a beer trying to relax again.. I have some stuff to catch up on but will be here for a couple of hours yet.

this is jodie.. shes just turned 3

    Hi Robert

I had a not dis-similar experience with my younger son
    ๐Ÿ˜ณ
(more years ago than I care to remember)
    ๐Ÿ˜ณ
he laid in my arms for ages, seemed as if he was burning up!
    ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
Couple of hours later, his temperature was normal, and he was smiling and goo-ing as if nowt had happened.
    (hot)

All my good wishes for a speedy and total recovery too.

    Kind regards

PS. Some of us didn’t make snide remarks about her looks and you.

PPS What colour eyes has the milkman got?

I can see she takes after her mother.

My daughter got her looks from her mother and her brains from me. It would have been a bugger the other way round. We won’t talk about my son.

Seriously though, I hope it all turns out well for you all.

As a father of four aged from 5 to 17 (yes I know I don’t look old enough ๐Ÿ˜€ ) – all in rude health at the moment, thank goodness Jodie’s scare seems to be over.

Between them mine have had almost every malady going.

Now do we have permission to turn this thread into a ‘Readers Wives’ forum?

Glad to hear Jodie’s okay and nice to meet you Mrs L. ๐Ÿ˜€ As has been said, Robert’s a lucky lucky bloke, gorgeous wife, beautiful daughter, cor blimey mate, you’ll be telling us you’ve just ordered a Ferrari next (d’oh, how 80’s of me ๐Ÿ˜ณ )

Just one thing though Robert, why do you have a huge chunk of granite behind your house? Its there, behind Mrs L! I know I joked about moving mountains, but I wasn’t being serious ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜‰

oh yeh.. dewi gotta mail you too mate.. watch out ๐Ÿ˜‰ mrs L and i have scanned the boards all night sipping our vodka.. ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜†

Sipping vodka! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Oh dear, first it was beer, moving swiftly onto Southern Comfort and now you’re trying Ruskie drinks!! ๐Ÿ˜• It’ll but hairs on your chest Robert, hairs I tell you!!!!! I can recommend tequilla as your next stop though, my prefered method of consumption :-

    1. Take a large litre bottle of tequilla, preferably white without the worm.

    2. Drink 3/4 of the bottle to yourself (hide the rest to ensure wife doesn’t find it and slurp it)

    3. Stagger around searching for a lemon, once a lemon is found begin to talk to it (you’d be amazed the stories they tell after some tequilla)

    4. Collapse in a heap, then wake in the morning, shake your head and say “I’ll never drink like that again, I swear”.

    5. Log into UKsignboards and discover you missed a great night on the boards ๐Ÿ™

After saying that though, substitute the large bottle of tequilla for vodka, and you end up talking to a loaf of bread instead of a lemon, how strange! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜†

Apex of a roof, ahhh you’ll tell us anything. Why can I see “Ni fallat fatum, Scoti quocumque locatum Invenient lapidiem, regnasse tenetur ibidem” written on it then? How you managed to lug that all the way from Westminster Abbey I’ll never know! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Cheers, Dewi

Sorry to hear of your scare Rob & Audrey…

AAAH Audry. I can still hear your dulcid tones coming down the phone line telling me Rob was out on a job. I think that’s what you said…I couldn’t understand half of what you was telling me . Loved the accent though.

    Doesn’t everyone speak fluent COCKNEY?

Audrey’s living proof the vikings raided Scotland once upon a time…Looks very Scandinavian. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Isn’t it great that kids are built bulletproof though?

Best wishes coming from down under… ( you could take that two ways really)

Our 2yr old daughter has luckily only ever been poorly once with a virus I was so stressed over the whole episode ๐Ÿ™ I hated not being able to do anything to make it all go away and then 3 hours later almost right as rain and panic over.

Hope all is well now Rob? Great looking Kiddie…

The joys of parent hood; we have two boys, one 7 years and the other 18 months (a good combination).

Spent many an hour up the hospital with one thing and another, especally with the eldest, as he had a kidney complaint and was on antibiotics for two and half years straight.

They’ll give you the greatest joy youโ€™ll ever have and the worst heartache.

    But worth it all…… ๐Ÿ™‚
