Posted by Chris M on 21 January 2009 at 19:34Hi guys, can anyone advise on a UK supplier of Coloured foil vinyl?
I dont even know if that is the correct terminology for what im looking for?Basically i want coloured vinyl which has a mirror effect.
I have a photo of a car with some applied if that will help?I hope that makes sense lol

Hexis do speciallity vinyls, they may have what you are looking for, but by all means post a pic so we can see what you need

Thanks Peter, ive had a look through the Hexis catalogue but i cant see it.
The stuff im after is readily available in Japan but i only want it to use on my own cars and cant really justify the cost of importing such a small amount.
the red vinyl on this car is what im after, i can only describe it as a red foil vinyl, its like a red mirror, there are no fancy dimond shapes or anything added into the vinyl just a red mirror effect:

I hope this helps
P.S
sorry about the size -
I think the HP1000 may be what you are looking for, its only reccomended for indoor use but most of the cars that use it are often short term.
Hexis do supply a5 samples, so give them a call

Smashing, thanks for that.
Ill give them a call in the morning. It is only intended for short term use, a couple of month between changing designs.
Thanks a million.

do you think it might be transluscent or transparent vinyl over chrome vinyl? Hexis do a cast transparent vinyl 😕

it is translucent i believe although thinking about it layering transparent over
chrome may work better for my needs.
I never thought of that.
Thanks(sorry for late reply, im going through their catalogue in amazement, i didnt know you could buy half of this stuff lol)

there are 6 suppliers on the sign toolbar that do decorative films. see "vinyl & print media – then – decorative films"
i normally buy my coloured mirror foils from "creative films"
