    Hi,

Maybe just me being a bit un observant, I have been looking around at all the different suppliers of vinyl and i cant seem to find any standardizing of colour codes.
The reason i say this is im trying to find a colour match to a BS colour code. maybe my lack of experience but i need help on this one!

There’s no way, that I know of, other than to get a swatch of the colour you want, and matching it to vinyl swatches.

Spent half my working time for the last twenty years doing that, and the other half matching fonts. 🙁

It’s the joys of being a signmaker. 😀

Post up the BS code and maybe somebody can help you.

Didn’t think it would be an easy quest John!
The BS code is 12E55 kawasaki green

Most of the time if I cant find the colour easy I would print it. Works out alot cheaper then buying the vinyl colour if you can find it, then if you need more you can always print some off later so you dont end up with a roll of vinyl you will never use again.

Have you asked kawasaki if they have specs, for what vinyl they use. I would have thought that they would have information for things like that.

They probably print it for the volumes they need.

The Green for Kawazaki is Pantone 369 I believe.

Try Mactac they have some Kwaka type greens.

Best thing ive bought in the past 3 month has been a RAL colour chart. Its helped me out loads.

You might also try Hexis, they have coded their vinyls to Pantone colours eg, Suptac S5369B is the S5000 series, close to Pantone 369 B=Gloss.

    I hope this helps
