    Hi All.

    I’ve got a Lexmark C522 colour laser A4 for printing invoices/proofs etc.

I’ve got a transfer belt life warning coming up now, so I looked for the price of the replacement kit. Cheapest I can find is £174 (oogle) The thing only cost me about £350, and I could buy a new laser for less than the replacement belt. The toners aren’t exactly cheap either.

Anyone recommend a good basic A4 colour printer?

Or should I just bite the bullet and buy the new transfer belt, after all, it would be a shame to throw away a working printer.

If you know a friendly photocopier tech – they should sort you out a good deal or know the code / sequence to get into the TECH menu to simply reset the counter…if you want to risk it.

We had one of these, and the same thing happened. We ended up buying a new one
for £130.00 including the carts. This one also does duplex. It often seems cheaper to
replace the whole printer than to replace the toner. Which is daft.
