  • colour flip vinyl – where from?

    Posted by highlander68k on 4 December 2003 at 17:43

I’m trying to find a supplier of 6-colour change/flip vinyl. I’m only looking for 10 metres. My usual supplier can’t source any for me.

    Can anybody help?

Is it the stuff 3M do??

It changes colour depending on the way you look at it and light reflection

    Just guessing again

lorrane – i me looking for a supplier too –

flip / carbon / metallic and hollographic but not too dear as its for numberplates / custom car grafix

i have seen the paint – you spray undercoat + one colour + topcoat I think! – about £190.00 a litre!

aahhh that makes sense now.. nice vinyl actualy. but!
the pearlescent overlay im sure works in simular way. its a trasnparent overlay tint that changes colours you overlay it to yelow and it does the same but with yellow shades.. same with blue, green etc etc
    maybe a cheaper option…

what will you be using it on?

Come Come now £190 a liter.
I have sprayed two bikes with this type of paint Green to purple and white to gold (more yellow) mazin stuff only need a white undercaot and you cant flat it after well i didn’t anyway incase you seen it.
Bought it from Partco at the time think it was about $50 quid a liter mind you it was a while ago.

Amain lookig on the Exup it was really really nice

Cant help with the vinyl though.

storeinet – Do you know of any UK suppliers? I’ve been on that site, and it doesn’t seem as if you can order here in the UK.

I’m not looking for massive amounts, but have a small job that requires a few metres.

Is this what you wanted ?

    http://www.williamsmith.co.uk/site/prod … eInfoID=5#

Costs ~£20 p.m. at 1200 wide, so not too bad for 3M I guess !
