Colour Fade to white
Does anyone have a pattern of circles I can use to produce a colour fade (to white) for a series of shapes consisting of a solid colour of vinyl gradualy blending into the backround (white) colour of a van.
The effect is seen on the British Airways logo which consists of red and blue wavy ribbons with highlighted areas consisting of an area of circles that gradualy increase in density giving the impression (from a distance) of a colour fade to white, hence – producing a highlight on the Ribbon.
I’m maybe not explaining this very well, but the demo by Barnabus Rumpf showing how a photographic image can be replicated in vinyl by a series of circles of varying sizes producing areas of dark and light is very similar.
I know what I want to achieve – but can’t figure out how to draw it. I just wondered if someone had done something like this before and had a template file I could use to achieve this effect 😀

hi
i neverfound the easy way iam shore there is to do a simple half tone fade i think its called half tone anyway
once i scaned a edge half tone print and placed circles over it this gave the correct spacing and percetage reduction of sizes then copied the section to fitt the area concerened. it worked that time.chris

I did it in corel easy enough (it will need welding). If you want an explanation I can put one together.
