You wont find it on a roll, to many variations to be produced,
What is the fade going to be applied to? do you want it to fade to a particular colour?
More details required to get answers on how to do it

they all fade to white, so that restricts the colour they can can applied to, to white, if printed on white or clear media.
long explanation needed, as to why inks need a background of white to show the colour, short explanation, you cant do it, not without a very expensive set-up.

only need a piece of vinyl printed surely its the same as printing a picture but i only want a gradient colour fade its for text with outline it could be done in one go with a printer but was wandering if could be done on a roll so that i can cut the infill out and put on vinyl background that not simple enough with out the expense .

I may have misunderstood, but if you want to cut text from printed vinyl it looks like the long way round to do it, if you are buying the print in, it would be just as easy to buy it cut as well, you would have a better result as you could add outlines etc to your text, and without registration problems, I think to advise you properly we need to see a visual of the end result you are trying to achieve.
is this the sort of thing?

tony, you wont get that effect on a roll, its not just a fade, or gradient fill, it has a bevel and highlights, and in different places with each letter,
print and cut is one way, but your example looks more like a brush/airbrush job.
no way to replicate it, without using the same methods

surely it could be massed printed ,like red blue black and white are.its like your example then by buying by the roll you just add the border when cut the text outline over the top simple . my example was airbrush and paint maybe not the best example i could find more like yours. but in that sort of way highlights can be added if needed buy paint .

just send the artwork to a trade printer that offers contour cutting and they will print, cut, laminate and send you it back, job done all in one layer.
remember to request it be laminated!!!

    From memory,
Raccoon used to offer contour cutting… but they have went bust!
Trade Brigade used to offer it too… but they have went bust!
i cant remember the other trade suppliers that offer it, plenty offer trade printing, just those with contour cutting fascilities escape me…

    possibly William Smith? http://www.wmsmith.co.uk

anyway, loads will print it no problem… and its not expensive for all you want.

Pretty sure Trade Imaging do contour cutting 01205 356544. They did some direct to substrate printing for me the other day and it was spot on, file on Monday – job received on Wednesday. I’m sure from my conversation with them that they do cutting.
