Posted by Ghais Din on 16 July 2014 at 22:19Thought its time to upload some more colour change wraps we’ve done over the past few months
Loved doing the vibrant colours, but white is still the most popular

Nice work as always Ghias 😀
What type of red (i cant tell from the photo) is the 1st BMW at the top?

quote Cheryl Smith:Brill…would love to see the before pics too…
Ive attached the before pics, the first bmw in red I didnt take a before pic,
With most of the wraps, I create a timelapse video of the entire process, which I upload onto my youtube channel.
The channel is getting really popular,
Please have a look, its the best way of seeing before and after

What would you say is your favourite wrap vinyl? We find the Hexis pearls dont stay on too well so mainly we use Avery/3M/Arlon

Ive actually notice the same too, not the biggest fan of the hx3000, its very thick material, and been adviced to post heat it to death, haha but have used some of the gloss colours hx2000, and they seem pretty good. but its not my favorite. The BMW M3 I did in hexis hx20 matt blood red, was the worst material I used, it was sooo delicate, even peeling the backing paper made it rip and I ended up using the all roll just for that car, you’ll notice it in my video of that wrap, lol
I love the satin black and satin pearl from 3m 1080, it just feels so good and installing the material just feels real good, lol
Arlon is amazing material, I find that Arlon and Avery seem very similar, I need to start to use more of the Avery supreme wrap
Also kpmf airelease is great to use and i use it alot for gloss white wraps, I know they started offering more colours in the airelease adhesive, so will need to try the matt colours see how thats like

Yes, made the mistake of using the HX rose pearl recently and its not staying down even on a simple job.
We always go for 3M, Avery and Arlon first. Not sure if I’d trust the KPMF on a car wrap as its polymeric, have you had any issues?
-
Jon I’ve not used the air release but used the ordinary KPMF a few times over the years & never had any issues with it other than it being more difficult to fit & more time consuming that the other films you mentioned.

KPMF material is pretty good, I actually prefer it to the 3M gloss white, never had any issues with kpmf
