  • Colorific Elite Inks – altered performance

Posted by Phill Fenton on 18 March 2016 at 16:30

I have been using colorific elite inks for many years now but lately have had to adjust my profiles to compensate for the magenta ink dominating. I have also noted that the inks are much less durable than they used to be and wonder if the formulations have been changed recently. Anyone else have similar concerns ?

I have recently noticed my blues have gone a tint more red, I thought it was maybe a head problem?
How did you adjust to compensate this?

Make sure you’ve been sent the correct magenta as there is one that’s rather ‘red’ and will give appear very over saturated with red….been there….twice.

And is it ‘elite’ that you got or a less potent ‘eco’ version?

Swapped away from Colorific to use Nazdar Lyson 1300 (full solvent) for a few years now.

Thanks Dave – you’ve answered my question – the inks have changed and I must have the extra red magenta you spoke of. I might try the Nazdar Lyson 1300 as you have. What is involved in changing over to this ink?

Check the colours are the same but basically it’s an old-school full solvent with plenty of bite and good durability.

Some people will advise flushing systems and refilling….but we just converted to bulk and ran it.

    Hi Dave,

Do you have the details of where you get your Nazdar inks? I’m thinking of swapping to see if Colorific has *cukd up my machine
