If you have a postscript laser printer or image setter the easiest way is as Chris said, on output alter line screen to a low number and this will increase the dot size. This doesn’t work so well if you are using a non postscript printer or inkjet.
The workround is this. Print to the device independent postscript printer with a low linescreen and save the ps file. Download Ghostscript (Free), print the ps file from Ghostscript to any printer and it should reproduce the course dot.
