  • Clear heavy grip vinyl for panel cover

Hi all I was hoping someone on here could guide me a little, I have machine panels to put a protective cover on for a good customer but we have tried laminate and clear vinyl and neither will stick, it must be the paint used, my question is has anyone had an issue like this and got round it? Is there a clear heavy grip vinyl like the one you can now get for black bumpers etc

    Thanks in advance
    John

It sounds like you need a "low energy surface" vinyl. most good vinyl suppliers will have their version of this.
This sticks to things like mudguards, machine parts and the like.

There is also a "higher" grip/grab version again of this that adheres to a wider range of difficult surfaces. Again different suppliers will have their versions.

Any I have bought to date have come in full rolls. which I expect because like any digital that is cut down, can become contaminated during the slitting process. so best ask what your supplier terms as a full roll. i.e. 10, 25m, 30m or 50-metre roll lengths when you get a price.

But does this come in Clear??? i do not know, best ask the question when you call.

Cheers for your input guys, we have used a bit of the hexis high tack vinyl on car plastics, i was curious if it had been tried on a metal surface with low energy slightly stippled paint

ill get onto them today
