If I am doing storefront or window graphics, I use a medium size pump-up sprayer, a razor, and a window squeegee.

First I spray the windows graphic area
*solution One gallon water, 2tbs baby shampoo and 32oz alcohol

Next I use the razor to scrap the glass
*the razor will remove the solution and help you see what you scrap so you do not miss any spots.

Last I spray the area very well, scrub it and squeegee the excess water.

    Time to lay your vinyl

Note: I also spray this solution on my application tape and let it set for a minute. This will help the adhesive on the application tape release with little effort.

I’m no expert but one of the first jobs I did almost three years ago still look great

    Hope it helps

to get old glue off a window I got a really good tip from a window cleaner.
Water in a spray bottle, spray onto target window, then simply use a razor blade in a razor holder to scrape old glue off window. simple as that.
the glue does not end up all ‘snoty’ and sticky. Its amazing and it works.
then simply methylated spirits on a clean cloth to remove any greasy paw prints.

I do alot of window vinyl now on a repeat basis so im always taking off and replacing vinyl graphics on the same windows. I use rapid prep to clean the surface area and good old fashioned elbow grease to remove glue ( it always comes off really easily ). I try to avoid using metal scrapers because if you slip you can actually scratch the glass if you’re not careful. I even managed to hit myself in the face with a metal scraper the other day when I got too enthusiastic removing a letter, luckily it wasnt a sharp blade 😮
