Cladding a wall price advice
Been asked to do a job which involves covering an internal brick wall with aluminium composite panels, probably about 30 feet in length & just under 8 foot in height. I put a post about this job & how to do it in the general section but I also have no idea how to go about pricing a job like this, not something I have ever been asked to do before.
The panels will just have cut vinyl graphics on them, solid colour from ground up for first 3 feet & then text & various logos above that.
So looking for some sort of idea how to price a job like this please. -

Quickly in my head £1400+VAT
8x 8×4 boards, a day putting it all together, a day installing.
Depending what’s involved, would you consider getting it printed direct to board?? Could save a lot of hours layering it up?

I would David but from what I have seen so far it’s not complex graphics & they are all solid colour I am told, the customer has supplied one logo as eps & said he would be able to provide the rest as eps so no complex redrawing to do which will save a lot of time 😆
I would prefer to use cad cut & keep it in house but not at the expense of losing a job by being to expensive 😆 -
£1400 sounds ‘cheap’ to me though in my head, depending on the customer I think you could push it nearer to the £2k mark.

Actually I was a bit surprised at the 1400 price, not something I have done before but thought it may be quite an expensive job, based on material costs & time to apply & install 1400 sounds like one of my type prices & I am always far to cheap :blushing:

Here’s how I got to that figure.
8x 8×4 Gloss/Matt Composite Panels @ £224
10m of 1220mm Vinyl @ £40
Another 10m of various colours for the logo’s @ £40£304 in materials, + 50% Margin (minimum) £608.
Our day rate is around £350, so say 8 hours to design, and produce the board, and then 8 hours installation.
£608 + £350 + £350 = £1308
+ A little extra for delivery etc.
Probably want to add more than 50% to the vinyl prices, and you’re probably not going to need 20m of vinyl either.

22.3m2 x 55 = £1226.5 + £180 fitting = £1406.50.. different method to David but same result. Good luck with it Martin
