Seeing as Chrome Wraps are being discussed a bit just now…
I thought I would make a quick post here of a Chrome wrap i did for UKSG & Paperlinx for Fespa Last year.

NICE!!!! It looked a little windy out there though? Was it ok fitting outside with no heat? What material did you use, as this question has been asked quite a few times on here?

    For the record,
I would NOT advise fitting in a marquee. This job was rushed at the last minute and installed in the city of London. There for accommodating the installation indoors was not possible.
the wrap only had to last several days at FESPA exhibition, and the customer to keep happy. was pretty much…. "myself". 😀
However, the wrap is still on till this day and my understanding is its the same condition as the day installed. So all good on how its performed.

Temperature was not an issue as such, it was Summer 2013 and very hot/sunny in London. there was a breeze, but remember that’s a time lapse video, sped up hundreds of times per second. so any movement on the tent you see is exaggerated over a period of hours. That said, it only takes some air born dust to get under the film and it becomes a nightmare.

The Film used is Avery Chrome Accent Cast Film.

I don’t like upsetting board rules but I want to swear!!
    That’s the dogs bollox 😉
Not had any training in wrapping and will certainly like to grow in the field.
    Nice work mate !!

    Robert,

Would the Avery chrome be a product that would be usable long term if it were looked after?

I spoke to William Smith yesterday and there is still no date, or even anything close to a date for the 3M chrome coming….. We’ve had a good few enquiries about chrome wraps now and hate saying no but am not interested in come backs, we haven’t had one yet and don’t intend on having any!

    Cheers

    Rich
