Chrome fixings – where from?
Posted by Andy Gorman on 21 February 2006 at 00:07You know those posh screws? They’re like a countersunk screw with a thread in the head and you screw a chrome cap into them and they look all posh?
Where can I get them from? Can’t find them at screwfix. DIY shops?

Seen them in 2 different sizes last time I was in there!

as has been said above mate… both do them.
be careful if fitting these outside as the cheap ones normal tend to flake the chrome/gold on the domes and the like. -
Here’s the Screwfix link Andy:

Yeah, that’s the sort of thing. Except I want the flat ones, not domed.
These are going indoors Rob, so no worries on them weathering.

i think they come flat aswell from b&q and glass/mirror places. i know i used some recently and they were flat circles with about a 3mm return.

Andy,
Try http://www.fkmoore.co.uk they are bound to have what you’re looking for as they manufacture these ‘mirror screws’ for all of the big DIY chains.
