    Does seem a bit cheap…but I doubt it’s a misprint.

Anyway – if / when it arrives – if it’s not as per the spec sheet it’ll be going back / flogged on Ebay.

    SHOULD be. 512Mb / 60Gb / Centrino Dual core 1.6Ghz / WiFi / 128Mb graphics / Dual layer DVD / Vista home basic with (student) Office 2007.

Would be hard pressed to buy the OEM / educational versions of the software for that money…

I know PC world were flogging off 1.6Ghz XP laptops on boxing day for £150 (20 per store).

hmm, the £250’s are no longer listed 😥

What were the £250 ones like …………….. they weren’t listed when I looked?

Ach! Could’ve had a bargain there!

Got my order tracking number & confirmation – but payment hasn’t been taken yet so they don’t need to honour ANY of the orders. Grr!

Ah well, looks like I’m not getting the PC all to myself after all!

ps. Martin – I’m not a closet Littlewoods shopper…got tip-off on one of my car forums.

ive tried to view my order and that service is unavailable now 😕

I think we may have bankrupted The Littlewoods Group between us!

Do yo think they will still honour them?

the £649 one is the same specification as my confirmation for the £149 one

Not a hope. Price tickets, lists & stickers as known as "invite to treat" in retail…not a binding contract for the seller until payment has been accepted.

    Shame huh!

Is there still a littlewoods/index as the shops that were in Newcastle and metrocentre all closed down – hope its not a nasty scam.

    I’ve JUST spoken to Littlewoods.

ALL of the orders placed for the laptop have been canceled as it was a listing error.

The £149 / £249, was simple for the Vista & Office software package – NO hardware.

I didn’t even have to mention what I’d ordered, just that I’d placed an order today & can’t access my account…she simple asked "was it for the laptop?" then went into her spiel.

So no card payments will be processed, no credit checks for the interest free….unless you REALLY want Vista….nah!

    nowt for nowt guys

doubt if you made a genuine error on a quote and missed out a zero, you would still supply,
just because a large company makes an error, why do you all think you should be able to benefit? or take advantage?

    We Dont!
Not for one minute would I expect them to honor the deal due to it being a typing error etc.
I as the others I guess, thought it was a genuine deal, unbelievably cheap though it was. We were not all trying to cash in on a typographical error.

Dave, Vtech…. you haven’t heard of them, a market leader in laptops, I’m shocked. I’ve been using one for years with no probs.

    😀 😀

Actually, I thought they were just stupidly cheap…it’s not like it said "£14.99". Bearing in mind that PC World were punting out XP Home 1.6Ghz laptops on boxing day for £150 this just seemed a similar deal. The fact that this one was running the lowest spec Vista (£52) made it look just feasible.

Martin, yeh Vtech are great…right up there with Tomy IMO.
