Cheaper Mount film supplier
Currently revising prices we are paying for mount film we use for exhibition prints.
We have been using the same suppliers for many years and recently after speaking to amari, they are able to supply a Ritrama over laminate at HALF the cost we were paying!
Can anyone suggest suppliers? or anyone willing to divulge prices currently paying for mount film?We have been using Drytac and previously Hotpress as suppliers.

i cant help with your request, but just been through the same with my suppliers.
it will appear that the suppliers view is a new customer is better than a old one and it now pays to shop around regularly. also loyalty don’t come in to it anymore or so it seams.if you like the product go back to your suppliers and tell them i can get x for y why are you so dear.

Also just been through a long protracted ‘battle’ of the vinyl suppliers after my principal one hiked prices up by silly amounts.
In the end – Victory came out tops on price (despite some ‘issues’) for overlaminates.
Also giving there ‘JAC SeriSign – 8yr calendared) a try. Cuts & weed very well…seems to be quite forgiving on the application too…colour range is maybe a bit ‘odd’ and not all ‘weird’ ones stocked (GRRR)

Chris i agree it is a shame that customer loyalty / long time purchaser doesn’t come in to it.
I know spandex used to offer some kind of discount scheme based on purchases, but i always found them to be initially very dear on products.
Maybe some of the other suppliers should look at points make prizes/discounts?Still none the wiser on reasonably priced mount film 😥

Bit of a paradox really, we all want the lowest price from our suppliers, but want the maximum from our customers, do we ever pass on a saving to them? and can we expect our suppliers to tell us the cheapest they can supply? It really is down to negotiation,
