channel & pipe clips for road signs?????

Does anyone know of any suppliers of these please?

I tried a search of the boards, but no luck. Also, can the channel be fixed without screws? Customer doesn’t want any fixings showing on his signs….

Thanks , any advice/help appreciated.

Hi Lorriane, you can buy the sign blanks in with the channel blind riveted or if you prefer you may get away with pop riveting the channel onto the sign.
for your fixings try these links they also do the sign blanks with channel already in place.

You can also use VHB tape (very high bond) to fix channel to signs. If correctly applied this stuff is incredible. (But not particularly cheap)

I can imagine…….giant aluminium sail embedded in persons/property.

If I’ve used it it’s always been on small stuff and usually with a few more rails compared to a riveted one.

eg. max size tried (ie. believed in its abilities) 4’x2′ – 3 x adhesive rails instead of 2 riveted.

I have heard tell of giant motorway type signs being done with it, this may have been more rumour / conjecture than fact. 😮

Cherwell sign supplies are also pretty good for channel and clips.

I used VHB a few times for this, done some 8′ x 4′ panels years ago
passed them the other day, still look good.

Yet I did some on a Driving range and two blew off within days.

I just buy all my ally panels from Ashby now where they are blind rivited.

Next day delivery, good prices, ask for a brochure of all their stuff. They will cut any size & shape of ali sign and supply all the bits and pieces.

Their brochure is really good. Lots of ideas etc. Worth having on file.
