Celtic fonts needed?
Hi,
Wonder if some one could point me in the right direction. Somebody posted Celtic fonts a while back and for the life of me I cant find them, anyone remember?

its weird marcella & nick …i see that style so many times being used in scottish gift shops …and hotels .But ive always known it as American unicail (dont go by the spelling!! ) just curious if it origenated over the pond …….theres no bonus point here folks just intrested 😀 😀

Hi Brian,
I always thought it was taken from the Book of Kells, and was altered and named by an American typographer. Lets start a campaign to get it back, ‘Give Uncial back to the Celts!!!’ or else we’ll invade, have you Scots much room for prisoners???? 😀 😀 😀 😀 -

I thought it was an irish form of one of our aussies sayings like ‘didyahavagoodweekendthenmate?’ or ‘goodonyacobberyagotanuvavb?’
‘may the road rise to meet you’ is that a drinking term? My grandad used to claim the road was always rising up and meet him, especially when he was drunk…. 😮
My favourite phrase is "if you can’t do it in a ford ute, its not worth doing’ . I guess it is similar then? :lol1: Can’t often work it into a normal conversation tho 😳

It means ‘may your journey be an easy one and that if the road rises to meet you, your effort is eased.
But taking a ‘dickey dive’ on the way from the pub is good too!!
We call that ‘having both sides of the road with you.’ -

Shane, it’s my favorite Irish saying, ‘May the road rise to meet you’!i like that harry ……its the kind of thing that happens after these long walks back from the pub….along country roads …..ahh ive ended up in many a ditch 😀 😀 :D….yep these scots/irish/welsh gaelic terms are so much better to say to your waiting loved one….(or in some extreme cases your wife 😀 ) than "i fell on my arse dear "
