Does some carboning of auto parts over the weekend and used some carbon vinyl with a silver back found it hard to heat and apply so i spoke to ab expert and they said black backed is easier to heat is this correct if so where can i get some
if its got a silver back it is probably foil based so pointless applying heat, if you need it to conform it needs to be based on a cast vinyl.
hexis do a cast version. KG 9910

Thanks for the reply Peter,
With the cast vinyl will it be easier for my to apply and wrap and weird shapes?
I have never used the hexis carbon effect personally, but the specs say it is ultra conformable, and ideal for vehicle wraps, so depends on your ability and how weird the shapes are, there is always a limit to any wrap material though.
Well Ive never done anything before apart from simple flat items and signs etc, i want to start doing more and more, these will be a set of mirror caps from a Peugeot 106
