  • cant remove or reload autocad

Since I lost my external drive a while back I have had several problems. The latest is Autocad 2006. It was installed on the drive that had the head crash. I get the message "error 1327 invalid drive k:/" K being the drive that failed. I cant install from disk as says its installed already. I need to use AutoCad now. So hoping praying that you can help me with this one.

You tried uninstalling it through windows ‘add/remove programs’?
It’ll probably just be info in the registry hanging around – if you have a reg cleaner it might get rid of it.

Went mucking about with registry finding autodesk and changing K: to C:. no luck still cant get it to reinstall/repair or remove autoacad. most help on net is to rename a misnamed drive, that don’t work when you drive is a lump of metal.

With reg cleaners, how easy are they to use and do you recommend any?

The problem is that windows still thinks it installed, you need to convince it that its not there 😕

Is there not a option to repair/reinstall in add and remove?

Repair and reinstall do not work, the same error is generated.
