any cast should do the trick….. warm the barrel with a heat gun after you have it applied. if it doesnt stick well first go, remove it and warm the barrel "before" applying the vinyl.

    Thanks for the advice Derek,
Had a slight accident 2 weeks ago, went to spec-savers had eye test new glasses, got home late and had some signage to fit and customers to see.
As there was only one 4ft x 2ft sign in alubond and a round steel 18" disc I put them under my arm with paperwork in the other and proceeded to step over my 2ft wall (which i have done for the past 20 years) my foot caught the top of the wall and over I went. The next thing I knew the the steel disc was bent I had a lump out of my chin, arm & knee grazed and a mark across my throat.
After 2 hours in the doctors surgery and a bit of a lecture decided to walk round the path to van in future.
Took a day before it hit me how lucky I was.

    Hiya Roy,
Vinyl on a gun stock won’t last long if your client uses it for anything other than show. I would definitely suggest paint.

    Robert,
I don’t think the owner would appreciate you heating the barrel with a heat gun. 😮 :yikes:

I wouldn’t think it would do them any harm
You do 30 birds DLT and touch the barrels then seen them almost too hot to touch.

    Goop,
the heat produced inside a rifle barrel is slightly different to using a heat gun on one side of it.

Any international rifle shooter would run a mile if you offered to heat their individually bored and highly accurate bench tested barrel.
