  • can someone help with a Xpres Inkjet Dark Problem?

I use a lot of Inkjet Dark from Xpres.
Recently did 10 Polos with a small full-colour logo on the front, and the same much larger logo on the back. Both are simple rectangles
The customer has returned the shirts. The small logo is perfect, but the large one is peeling off.
Have had a few minor problems in the past, but nothing as bad as this.

Have tried several times to phone Xpres Tech. Dept., but am always put on hold so can never speak to anyone.

Any help would be much appreciated.

weve had the same problem, sweat makes the transfers peel.
theyre useless, way too thick and not very good to be honest.
not a solution but at least you know its not just you.

    Hi Steve.
I eventually managed to speak to Xpres but they couldn´t come up with an explanation. It never occurred to me (or them) that sweat could be the problem.

I´ve done a lot of work for football teams etc. using the same material and never had any comebacks. Maybe the customers just didn´t complain. A bit like having a bad meal in a restaurant…say nothing and then tell everyone how crap the place was.

What do you suggest as an alternative material for inkjet printing?

    Thanks. Chris A

I have been using sublimation transfers by RASmart, (Very kindly given to me by John Wilson) they can only be printed by sublimation ink but they are excellent, colour and light fast due to the curing of the ink, and not too thick.otherwise I think Target do a half decent transfer paper, the xpres stuff wont come off the backing if you use thermoweldable plastic either, its just too sticky.
I would ring Target, Magic touch, etc and get a few samples sent out as things are improving all the time so there should be good papers out there now.
    Cheers
    Steve
