    Hi

I am having a few problems with my cadet, as is expected as it has just ran out of warranty this year…

I notice the wiper is sticking under its secondary wiper and it is clicking its little nads of trying to get free, i have taken a bit of them and they now clear this but they dont come fully out and wipe the heads, is it the repacement wipers are to hard or is something else wrong?

also every day now i need to do powerful cleans as the ink seems to be drying in the pipes to quickly, i have replaced the pump & tubing & capping heads! anyone else have this prob?

I have had many a good year with this machine and belive it has a bit left in it to give, i just need to sort out these problems

    Cheers if you can help

plenty of life in it if kept clean mate… our grenadier which is the big brother to the cadet is 5 years old and still churning out lots of work.
which reminds me im needing ink!

anyway… it might be the warm weather that’s making things gel up on you… im no expert though. wiper blades are easy fitted and very cheap. just buy some in and keep the machine clean.. see how you go.

    Hi John

had problems with the magenta/yellow line myself in the past. When you do the cleans are you getting any ink flow to the waste bottle?

I find that ink dries in the pipe between the capping station and the pump. If it dries hard the pump does not pull the ink through during the clean and you end up only doing the one that is clear.

Rather than doing the powercleans, I just flush a bit of solvent through those pipes to clear any residue. Standard clean cycle then does the job.

Might not be the case with yours, but cheap to check 😀

Cant help with the wiper problem though!

You might want to take a look at the silver bar that the wiper moves along
ive seen it in the past were ink builds up on the bar and stops the wipers
moving freely, I think its caused by the wiper blades flicking the waste
ink of the heads. If that is the problem a drop of cleaning solution on a
swab will clean it of but you may need to clean it a few times before you
    get all the ink.
