A few questions, this Porsche has been wrapped, I take it that it is not a full body wrap, if not do you think it has been printed onto clear vinyl, if so, how do they control the colour of it when its placed onto a dark colour???

Which then leads me to believe that it must be a full wrap to maintain colour consistency?????

i don’t think its a full wrap. no tell tale signs of body colour appearing in areas you would normally notice it…

i think the graphics are probably printed onto white vinyl but the edges blend out to black then contour cut.

we have a company here that wrap in clear, then airbrush. Looks like the real deal on the car, but is removable when time to sell or change.

maybe the case in the photo? I think rob may be right tho as the edges are too defined

I cant really tell from the jpg, but it doesn’t look like any fades to black, just sharp edges? so a normal white vinyl (greybacked) with a bleed and then cut would work. Alternative, a fade to printed black, with only a small bleed could work, have you seen the car close up? quite often not as they appear.

apart from that, I cant say how it was done,

    update…

look at the yellow marks on the bottom image then look very close at the top image. you can almost see the change in colour where the vinyl meets the body colour change.

definately a print with a black bleed out, (i have wrapped the odd porsche or 7!)

i also did a similar job on a load of black astras for southern fm, same deal with a contour graphic with a black bleed to it.

which i found a nightmare to deal with as there is not a lot of material to hang onto when going through curves etc.
