  • can oven resistant vinyl withstand 250 degrees?

    hi there guys,

a customer of mine has asked me if i could make some service stickers so he can stick inside the oven after a call out repair, he has seen them on ovens before used by other people. Does anyone know of a material and adhesive that would withstand the oven temperature, i am guessing it would have to withstand up to 250 degrees celcius. Any ideas as i am stumped ?

I’m pretty sure you need to be looking at polyester based films for this type of project – first pass, might be worth talking with your 3M distributor for a recommendation.

there is a acrylate material which is for laser engraving (no printing) which will withstand up to 250 degrees C for 7 days, or 300 C for 1 minute – these are recommended 3M data – see http://www.idmark.com/industlab.htm
