  • Can I use PC-60 refills in PC-50 cartridges?

    Posted by tat2shawn on 2 October 2005 at 04:55

    Hi All,
Does any one know if the PC-60 refills can be used in the PC-50 cartridges?
I saw someone say you can use the PC-60 refills in the PNC-5000
And the PNC-5000 and the PC-50 take the same cartridges.
Those cartridges for the PC-50 are very expensive.
Any help on this subject will be helpful.

    Hi Folks
PC60 ribbon refills will fit PC50 carts. The ribbon formula is the same for both machines. PC50 OEM ribbon length was 180M. PC60 is 90M. That is the only difference. When loading a PC50 cart – make sure you use the old ‘used ribbon spool’ that has 2 cheeks for reliable ribbon feed. Using 90M in a PC50 cart is also good to avoid ribbon snap caused by over filling the cartridge with used ribbon.

Have you got a source in USA?
