can i apply vinyl in cold weather?

Just clean the panels properly and apply dry if you can. if you are in a remote area leave the engine running with the heater full blast through the air vents so it directs it towards the back of the van. Even cold you should be ok, go over with heatgun to make sure

yeah im doing it dry, and was thinking bout using heat gun to just warm panels before and after.

a good tip is to wear warm undies !!!

lol, i fit in the cold fairly often, or have done at least, putting heat into the panels doesn’t really help as the heat disipates real quick, sometimes better to do the ‘side that’s in the sun’ if possible, then turn the van around and let that warm a little,

most important in mho is to be careful with the vinyl, don’t try to rip it up if a bit stick before it should, if it’s cold it’ll tear very easily, a heat gun can be handy then !

We also have a small gas blower which we place in the rear doors facing inwards. Obviously make sure all safety needs are covered etc, but his works really well as it heats the panels from the inside out and helps maintain the temp.
Additionally, we can all jump in the back for a warm up if it gets too cold.
