All I can suggest without seeing the file is to convert all text to curves etc…do all you can to simplify the file before exporting.

Is it complicated?…Does it have effects etc ?

No, the file is only small , its only to cut a bit of vinyl. Its just started happening. An old file can still come in and rip ok. Tried levels 1,2,and 3. Tried to ring corel but not much help….

I spoke to roland about this and it is a conflict with corel 3 dont know about 4 and 5 if you have illustrator open the eps you have exported from corel and save back overwriting the file and bring into versa it will then stop the crash the only other way i do it is to save as a pfd from corel which does not crash versa

Spoke to roland and they were great. I sent him the file that i had created and it crashed his versaworks, so he sent me one and it ripped no problem so the problem is in my corel somewhere. Its either attaching something naughty or not attaching enough. I am busy re installing and will see what happens. I dont have an an option to export to PDF in Corel. Is this normal??

It’s in the option ‘Publish as’ rather than ‘Export’ Stephen

Right its sorted, eps still crashing even after reinstall but publishing to PDF is working and with cut path but only recognizing page size. How do i change setting to document size not page size?

Try changing your page size to exactly the size of your job (double click the page border on screen) then centre your job to the page by pressing P

might be worth exporting the eps with no header/preview or change the mode of the preview. I seem to remember Corel eps tripping up Quark at one time and I think that was a preview issue. What version of Draw are you using? and is patched

Tried exporting without the header to no avail. Its corel x4. Seem to remember it did this on my old x3 version too.

Out of interest does it import back into Draw or any other programme?

Yeah it will come back in no problem. Weird thing is i can import an old file in to versaworks ( prior to todays problem) ok, but the ones i have just done today are causing the problems. I have just downloaded a patch and still no joy with EPS. I wonder if i can send Corel a problem file so they can analyze it? Has anyone done this??

The one sent to you was probably created with illustrator thus like I said it will not crash your versa, I bounced this problem back and forth to roland and the issue was never resolved if anyone does resolve this it would be great but i cant see it happening 😕

I’m sure you can send the file to Corel via their forums http://www.coreldraw.com but if you struggle send it to me and I will pass it on to where it needs to go.
