In Coral Draw! it is called WELD, this welds the script together so there are no over cuts into adjoining letters from your plotter following the vector lines.

What is this operation called in CS2??

    Many Thanks

You need pathfinder, go to window > pathfinder.

    Thanks for your reply Nick

It does not seem to work. I have been able to weld two squares together using pathfinder, but I can’t weld a string of over lapping text together???

    Odd

    Cheers

    Peter,

I also use Corel Draw! (which I seem to know better than CS2) so I do not EVER EVER reproduce this into my work. I know it makes her shudder

    Craig 😀

Go and wash your mouth out 😀

Saw a truck earlier today and not only had they used the dreaded brush script, they hadn’t welded it but what was more shocking was that they had double spaced it so there was a gap between the letters. It looked awful.

Wish I’d taken a photo now.
