To give you a quick background on my business – I primarily do pop-up displays, which involves primarily panels that are <32" wide, however I do get a the occasional 54" job (vehicle wraps) that I’d like to do roll-to-roll laminating with.

I’m looking at a GBC titan 63" right now, amongst other things – and wanted to get some input?

Ideally I’ll get a Falcon 60+ or something in a few years, but I’m looking for interim suggestions. Hot lam, is not a necessity, but if I can get it for the right price I’m down.

Keep in mind I’m purchasing used, and looking to spend around $4-$6k USD.

    Thanks in advance!

Great to hear – are you able to do complete rolls – roll-to-roll? I’ve heard from a few people that its a little hard to do with that machine, while others say its no problem. I suspect its a matter of who is running the machine, but I could be wrong.

We use an Emseal 2R. Aussie based machine. Everyone says they have a hard time using it. Were not professionals and taught ourselves to use the laminator reading the manual. We do roll to roll laminating for when we do vehicle wraps. Don’t have a problem with it.

Remember not to let your glove get caught in the laminator 🙁 that was an expensive mistake.

    Hi Scott

The titan dosent have a take up roller, but its not a problem to laminate roll up and pop up displays.

I have a 3m x 1.5m bench with a keencut javelin cutter down one side

It would have been more expensive if your hand was still in it! 😀

Hmmmm I’m sure I could retro-fit it with one… not to difficult.

Ouch on the glove, that would be quite the mistake!
