Hi Mo. As discussed, AIT don’t service Roland printers but you have my number 😉
Thanks for the recommendation anyway Andrew

as rules here prevent advertising.. i am going to say this and I am not being forced to.
we purchased our printer of AIT a long time ago, Stafford worked there as one of the chief engineers. He is now doing independent work as well due to changing times.
If anything, Stafford showed me how the head assembly worked within the printer, I learnt a lot of him although he was well aware I was technically minded.
So far, Stafford given some good advise without taking payment to board members, so with all due respect I think Stafford would be a good person to send a message to and he is South East based.
Saying that, I do know other engineers who have posted here, but as they are not posting, they dont get a say.
I have a lot of respect for the guy, he recently helped me out with Roland based machine for a friend and as I am, we are both keen to keep on top of the market

Hi Roy, as yet I haven’t used anyone but stafford comes reccomended and he’s near me, having said that, because I’m a bit sad, and also because there are extensive resources available online, I did lots of research and have kind of taken self training if you like.
I have totally cured my deflection problem, all the heads now fire perfectly, so thank god I never went ahead and bought new heads.
I changed the capping station, dampers and some other parts recommended in a full service on my wide format epson and I now carry out general maintenance and upkeep myself.
BUT… I have had quite a bit of technical experience with various printers, so i wouldn’t recommend it unless your a techno "gotta know how it works, had a meccano set, chemistry set and built my own moped from scratch as a kid" kinda bloke like me…lol

Morning Roy. What number did you try? The number I had at AIT for all those year is left in the office all the time and I check the missed calls and messages whenever I go there. I have a number fo My freelance business that I guess I’m not allowed to give out on here.
Dave, thanks for your kind words 🙂

Sorry Stafford could be my mistake, Checking my mobile I actually rang the tech8 number 3 times yesterday morning.
If I could have found a mobile I would have rang.

Roy,
Did you mean that you tried calling us (Tech8) but you could not get through?
Please let me know, as that should not be the case 🙂
I hope things are now sorted.
Thanks, Justin
