    Hi All

I’m having a few problems exporting AI’s from Corel 9 and opening them in Signlab 6e.

    Basically it’s caving letters up.

As pic below and this is how it cuts, what I’m doing at the mo, is doing a basic weld on each letter. But to my mind it should not be doing this in the first place.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting this sorted out.

    Thanks

    Dan

Export it as a 1.1 ai. Works for me with version 5 from corel 9

Thanks Big G for the reply.

Tried exporting the original file and saving as a 1.1 it put even more slices in.

So tried a new file, but still get the slicing.

To avoid these construction lines when exporting from Corel make sure the option simulate complex filled curves is deselected (I don’t have any selected and choose a low version of Illustrator)
