  • Can anyone open these files?

Posted by Jill Marie Welsh on 27 September 2007 at 14:43

    Hi.
Dunno if this is the right forum or not.
I swear I could open the files when I got them last month.
Now I can’t even open the jpg to see what fonts I don’t have in Corel.
Yesterday I managed to open the .ai but if I can’t see the jpg it’s no good to me (about the fonts) It says I’m missing Caeser if I remember correctly.
I think the jpg may be in CMYK.
There was an .eps in the attachment but now it is greyed out and I can’t select it….Is there such a thing as a file you can only look at once?
Any help would be appreciated…I am on Corel 12.
I’ve asked the designer to re-submit but I have not heard back from her.
This is for a 4’x8′ aluminum sign.
    Thanks!
    Love…..Jill

I can’t get the ai file to open in Corel or Illustrator.

    It’s a very small file, 488bytes?

    Jpg, nothing.

the file is too small on AI, and jpeg would have displayed in post.
i cant open it, presume somethings happened to your storage.

Suggest you check a few more files to see if your computer is okay.

OK somehow I managed to open a jpg.
Anyone recognise that top font part?
I know the bottom is Arial.
I wish I knew how I opened the file yesterday, and I wish I would have saved the damn thing!
    Thanks.
    Love…..Jill

My computer should be OK because it is new.
Just for kicks, I tried to FW the email.
All files showed up in the attachment portion.
But when I clicked the eps one I got a pop-up saying it had been blocked as being potentially harmful to the computer.
I really doubt that this is a problem, must be some sort of firewall issue.
Anyone want me to fw it to them?
    😎 :lol1: 😮

I’ve opened it Jill. Only one of the files had the text converted to curves.
Let me know if you still need it and what format etc.

By the way, the font is called Caesar Normal.

    Thanks so much.
This client has waited a long time. But I was waiting for the ballfield people to deliver a blank to me.
I really appreciate all the help.
I kinda like this layout, except for the Arial.
