    Can someone help me.
I have had this cutter for apx 6 yrs and it has not missed a beat, other than changing blades, and about 2 weeks ago i changed the cutting strip.
Now all of a sudden as its cutting it seems to drag the blade across the vinyl (garment printing vinyl) and leaving perforations instead of a nice cut line.It seems to judder across the vinyl but not all the time. I use Signlab 4.95 and i have never had the need to alter the settings in this program. So is it the cutter or Signlab.
    Thanks in anticipation. 🙁

sounds to me you may not have put the strip on correctly – try to re-do it???

I would lubricate the blade holder WD or such.
Try a new blade and lower the force increase the force as the blade gets older but you will get to a point when a new blade is needed.

Personally I forget and think dam that’s playing up, then fit a new blade in my Roland and all runs smooth till the next time.

Renewing the strip was probably a coincidence but may have also altered the cutting force and the blade may be blunt.

    Just my 20p’s worth

    Tim.

As Roff has said, did you clean all the glue and muck out of the slot where the strip sits.?

it is showing simtoms of the blade not swiveling freely as surgestet remove the blade and hight adjuster from the holder and flush out the tiny bearings in the top of the holder with lots of wd 40
