Recently purchased a new Valuejet 1204 without the onyx v7 rip.
we have drivers to run the machine from flexisign pro 7.5. we have been told that the machine only runs by a network cable, the computer reads the machine and knows its there but we can not send anything down to the printer, any assistance please?

I had the same problem with my roockhoper 38.
Supplier told us that we have to use crossover network cable with Mutoh printers.

    sorry about delay, very busy.
we have connected using crossover cable and it pings a signal o.k.
but when we try to use flexi we get ripping up to 4% then cannot open port. perhaps the config of port in flexi can not recognise a network port.
    help.

You can create a windows printer and assign an IP port to get around the problem of a network printer.

One problem you may encounter with Vista is that the network adapter in the valuejet has some known issues when communicating with certain network adapters in Vista based PCs. I never actually solved this with my PC but am told that a category 6 network cable could be the answer. The problem seems to drop-out of the signal. In my case it would print 2-3" and lock up, requiring a reboot of the printer.

I had a Mutoh 38 supplied about 10 yrs back and it had to be connected via a crossover network cable. Th IP address of the mini server was then established thru an app.
Now my Mutoh has died—10 years to the day from which it was first commissioned by the supplier.
All power voltages are correct but one of the boards displays flashing leds and all the lights on the control panel are lit—not flashing.
Any ideas from anybody out there??
