looks good widget, much better than the merc on the first page!
i for one like it, but hey, you cant please everyone, someones always got an opinion in this game!!got away with avoiding the double curvature of the panel recesses to i see!! did you do it wet or dry application?
-
Blimey, have you applied it as well? 😮 I really like it!
The main text really stands out, just the phone number looks a little weird. Did you work out the other side?
Great job though Widget! 😀
Cheers, Dewi

Good end result Widget 😀 only constuctive crit as Dewi said is the phone number is a bit weird / lost. Looks much better than your old van and original designs…. no offence of course 😀

Nice work Widget…
Can you appreciate the design difference between what you originally wanted to go with, and this the final result? The skills will come in time I assure you, and you will learn very quickly to differentiate between good and bad design. Your original was bad, this is good!! Well done again!!

The phone number dont look clear on the photo but stands out really well when you look at it with your eyes,i just done it in silver with a blue outline just to try and keep the colours right.

its not over yet jill LOL
Still looking for something good for the back doors

Are you thinking of wrapping the back end of the escort van Widget? You mentioned you want to show off your print capabilities, but I’m puzzled, didn’t you say you had the PC600? (hmm)
I have its younger brother, the PC60, but I wouldn’t consider doing the whole wrap thing with it (if that is what you’re thinking) Its much more cost effective to order in from someone with a cadet or similar imho, and viewing the wrap video that Robert did would be a good idea as well.
Image wise, there are loads of images available, Rodney posted up a great link a while back with some images that can be printed.

hello widget,
now I know why youv’e been quiet youv’e been working did you use light grey or silver ? nice job but why did you squish your phone number it’s quite important ?lynn
-
P.S why ddin’t you go orange or even purple we sign people need to be noticed
lynn 😀

Dewi
i am not wanting to do a wrap on the back doors (not up to that yet)
just something smallish to make it look goodPeter yes i have actually done this now,its navy blue\silver
i might remove the phone number and put it somewhere else bigger
-
nice one widet we salute you did you have snow today?
lynn
-
on the back you need to be specific ie: what you do and phone numbers let’s face it there is always some one up your a– they may as well see something worthwhile
lynn -
no snow today just freezing cold ,makes fitting that vinyl much harder i noticed
supposed to be snowing here tonight
-
widget I dont know where Morpeth is wev’e had snow in luton which is pretty much unheard of especially in november we usally get it in feb or may

i was thinking of maybe printing a photo for the backdoor window panels but dont know what of,maybe with the effect of it curling on the corner or something.
feel free to suggest something 🙂
rallycar maybe ?
-
widget not curling it look like your signs maybe coming off unless of course you give them something nice to look at under the curl of !! (-)

cant thank you all enough, every one has said it looks good and i even got a job to do today because someone spotted itwell in a way mate, ide like to thank you for taking the time to post your designs and use this forum in particular for help & advice on your designs. At the end of the day it gave us a great topic to look in on each day, gave us all something to do if we had some spare time, & you ended up with night and day result in my opinion.
Hope to see more from you & how you develop over time.

:lol1:
widget, dont make the number bigger mate, just clearer. the size is fine. 😉
-
Blimey! 😮 When you post it like that Robert, it looks like 2 entirely different sign firms!!!!
Again, well done Widget! Looking at the 2 vans really puts into perspective how much work you’ve put into it and as Robert says, it been brilliant watching it progress 😀
Looking forward to seeing what you do with the bonnet and the back doors! 😀
Cheers, Dewi

have you come up with any designs yourself yet mate?
if so. load them here and let us have a look at them. it gives us something to go on… discuss, jelp etc -
not came up with anything yet robert,
i am wanting to include some picture or photo but dont know what of.
something to stand out and with a nice catchy piece of writing

i think the back matches the side fine mate… ide go with that.. after you do it you can have a real look and see what you think the top part needs as far as pictures go.
you have a pc60 though, dont promote large images, you will make more money faster selling short runs of decals and the like than you will with large ones. trust me!
look at custom graphix for bikes and the like. one offs! hard hat stickers etc loads of stuff out there to do.. you have thermal print + cut. easy money if you sell the right stuff. 😉
