I create a design in corel x5 convert the colours to RVW colours for the versacam, save as a cdr and versaworks file prints fine.
say i need to change something on the cdr file i import back into corel but the colours have all converted back to RGB

Might be something to do with Custom Colour Palette in Corel X3… i get it with CutContour. Basically if a similar colour is hanging around in your custom pallete, it will take priority. Delete ’em.

Is anybody using X6 and having the same trouble? Out of interest I always send files as CMYK and Versaworks does a pretty good job of accurately printing the colours, why do you convert to the Versaworks pallett?

that i can answer its to do with creating contours as they do the new one its 50% colour value of the original but keeps the name (+1) and the colour values are reduced.

back to OP if you double click the colour in the bottom right of the screen then press enter it will revert back to the roland colour.

Spoke to Rob Golenlowski today and sorted this out
what we had to do was export as a pdf file
then when you close corel save as a cdr file
then when you import back into corel all is fine
