Have you been using it or has it never been working? Usually you launch it from programmes – Corel and build a catalogue for the first time.

Hi Alan
Have been using it for years, with no probs.
Went to launch it today from the start menu and it don’t come up.
Tried removing and reloading corel. no change.
Really need to sort it out, as I have never used any other way of putting fonts in corel
Thanks Dave

I am quoting Alan from an old post here on UKSB
The Date base file fontnav.fdb can go and next time you run Fontnavigator it will search the drives and rebuild.
Cant recall if this file is on the Corel folders or in your Document and Settings folder… however it does work.
The bitstream is an old program, not changed since early days i dont think… however windows XP doesn’t suffer from too many fonts problems, we have about 1800 fonts installed in the windows folder, not really a problem for us.

I’m not sure what the problem can be if nothing has changed, X4 has a newer version and I think the database file is in another location but if you are running Draw V11 obviously this is not the issue. The database file can get corrupted and deleting it is the way to go but FontNav needs to run to be able to rebuild. You can intall fonts using the normal Windows routine but without FontNav Corel can’t automatically load fonts on opening files, still can be done manually but not so convenient. Have you tried a system restore to an earlier date when it was working.
