  • can anyone help with a roland PC-60 sensor issues please?

Hi all I am new to UKSIGNBOARDS.COM, been reading loads of topics discussed on here and they have been very helpful! So thanks everyone for all the great answers given.

    I currently have a Graphtec ce5000-60 , ce5000-120 and a Roland PC-60.
The Roland was bought of eBay a while ago and I have never got around to using it so yesterday i thought i would have a go.
I have read the manual and looked for help regarding this matter on the internet but have not yet come to a solution.

I have loaded the vinyl into the Roland correctly, aligning it to the grit rollers etc and making sure it covers both the front and rear sensor. Now when i put the front down, both the piece and roll LED’s flash as if its not been loaded correctly but it has been loaded correctly 100%.

I am totally out of ideas on this, I am thinking maybe the sensors are faulty and dont work?

If anyone could help me or give me any advice you would be life savers! Thanks for your time

    Hi Laura,
I have been using a PC 60 for quite a while now, and the only thing I can offer is that the colour cartridges may not be correct. My machine does this if I wish to print CMYK, when I may have a solid red/blue cartridge installed (or no cartridge). Hope this helps.

just duplicated this on mine if a pinch roller is out of alignment then the leds flash also the knife is parked at the roller where the fault is.

    Hi Laura
Sorry this is late but I am still wondering around my pc-60 in somewhat of a daze!
I think the problem you described has happened to me and I think it is when I have set the machine up with a certain size of material and then I use a material that is actually larger than I told it to expect, then when I set the rollers out to the full width that i have put in the machine the rollers are wider apart than the machine expects. if I simply bring the rollers closer problem fixed.
Hope that makes sense to you.
    Cheers Mike
