can anyone help source thin magnetic material?
Posted by Nick Tunstill on 29 November 2013 at 18:05Hi
I have vehicle grade magnetic material that I use for van etc but a customer wants the flimsy stuff for giveaways to stick to fridges. My existing suppliers only seem to do down to 0.6mm but I could do with something about half that thickness. Any ideas? Many thanks
Nick

Have you tried Bisbell Nick, normally use them for all my magnetic stuff.

Hi Nick
My company use something called Ferrous, which is a very thin magnetic material almost paper thin. I’m not sure who the supplier is but Bisbell would be a good starting point. I will try and find out more.Andy

yes but that sticks TO magnetic material, it’s not magnetic itself.
Used it for several instore graphics panel change contracts.

Yes David, you are correct.
The material we use is called ferrous paper and it has the same properties as the thicker magnetic material printable one side and the reverse is the brown magnetic side. It is still 0.2mm thick. I will have to check out our supplier on Monday.Andy

Hi Nick.
I said I would come back with some details for the thin magnetic material you were looking for.

We call it ferrous paper but I don’t know if that’s the official name for it but this is the company we buy it from. They are based in Chelmsford, Essex.
Good luck
