can anyone help please trying to print a spot green?

Don’t fully understand what you mean Rich 😕 Are you printing a two colour job and the green is printing as gold, or am I reading that wrong?

dewi hi mate its realy only if you use flexi i think, i can select spot colours blue,red,yellow,gold,white,silver, black but cant do green (:) (:)

i am presuming you are running a PC60/600 so not sure on the driver screen you will get, but on mind for the rockhopper you can colour map spot colours e.g Choose green to print gold etc

yes mate your correct thing is there is no green

say drawing colour is blue i can tell it to print it as a spot red
but i cant get green

Let me get this right…………

you’ve done your design…. part of it is green, you’ve coloured it green on screen but when you go to print/plot preview, you don’t get the green showing? am i right?

It’ll have to be assigned spot green in the image/ layout then go into rip and print
enable spot colours box, spot colour mapping should throw up green as green if not assign green as green, from the drop down box, the colours don’t all seem to come up for some reason, I assume you’ve got a spot green cart loaded?

Workaround, confuse the machine/ software and put a gold barcode on the green cart 😉

& it’s nice to see more and more are using Flexi 😉

i get what your saying but if i hit the drop down box i can change the spot colour setting in there but green is not listed???

sorted it if i tell flexi itsa pc600 then it lists the green spot colour
just got to see if it prints now

well there you go if i select printer as pc600
the ribbons for spot colours include green and orange in advanced box but wont let me print
change it back to pc60 and i can print but no green spot colour

so i have to use another bar code
oh what fun

Just an off chance, are you using original Roland carts or refill

Maybe the cart has the wrong bar code on it and the bar code actually refers to gold?
