Simple answer is ‘com1’ is not a USB port – it’s a serial cable.

Does your plotter only have a USB link?

Scroll UP the list of ports & you might see ‘USB0001’ – try that.

And use the plot spooler is required.

Hi David i have tried USB001 nothing happened the USB port on the machine installs as a USB to serial converter that why i put it on com1

Can you get ‘plotter ID’ or ‘page size’

If you can’t, then Signlab can’t see the plotter at all (regardless of what windows says).

In all honesty – I tried installing the USB with my SL 7 & Summa – gave up as could only pick up as a printer option. (Previously tried it with a Graphtec & e6 – no joy)

So, am I right in thinking it’s a standard PC USB to Plotter USB port and not some sort of weird hardware adapter?

Hi David it is a USB version but as its a Pcut that does not mean standard it works fine with winPCsign on com 1 just not with sign lab thanks for your help mate i will keep trying

    Dale_2005,

Did you find a way to get SignLab to talk to your USB PCUT?

I am in exactly the same boat. I hope you found a way around it and you can share the solution. Or anyone else out there that may have any ideas.

    Regards,
