rich by 3d text do you mean like bevelled/embossed with deep sides and shades. or simply a letter with a deep shadow creating a block 3d look for cut vinyl?

Here Rich, not sure what you are trying to achieve but that is a very hard font to prismatise.
You may want to go with something bolder.
Here is one I did (not too well either) for you with an existing prismatic font.
    Love….Jill

Jill’s right. The letterstyle is quite weak to be putting a 3D effect on it.
I added some highlights and a drop shadow on this to add some dimension.
See my Corel demo to learn how to do this in Corel.

thanks all for your help with this i think the look I’m after is most like the one Dave has come up with

i understand the font will not allow much room for movement but my customer whats the text to look like it stands out from the vehicle and using a Grey shadow would not work due to the vehicle being Grey

    ahhhhhhhhhh

    Hi Richard!
It’s still possible to use a drop shadow. Just use a darker grey than the van. It gives it a natural look! One of my fav effects.
The eye candied version looks cool, but stand back about 5 feet. Can you still see the effect?

I had another little play with it to get lighter highlights etc.

This image is a 30th the resolution of the ‘real deal’, came out to a 236Mb file at 100dpi, whew!
